~Grapefruit scouring scrub

I've been looking for a recipe to replace my...hec-hem, Comet.  This recipe calls for grapefruit, but I didn't have it handy, but what I did have in my biddy bowl was a few lemons and a couple of oranges.  They took one for the team!!

Peel a grapefruit (or lemons), cut the peels in to smaller pieces, and let dry for 4 to 5 days.   You want them in smaller pieces..learn from my mistake!!  As you can see I didn't and, well, I'll explain below.

After they've dried, grind them up in your coffee grinder or food processor.  You're looking for a coarse powder.   Back to why you need smaller pieces...on my 3rd and last batch in my coffee grinder, one of the large peels got stuck between that black plastic bar and the bowl.  Broke completely off, and will no longer grind anything.  Rest in peace my dizzy grinder.  But no fear...I had more than enough to make my recipe.  Whew!!

      Here's the recipe:
3 TBSP  Dried, powdered grapefruit peel
      3 TBSP  Borax
      5 TBSP  Baking Soda

A perfect container for this would be an clean and dry Grated Parmesan Cheese container.

I welcome your ideas and recipes. Thank you CrunchyBetty.com for this recipe! Smells soooo good.  Much better than...hem-hem...well, you know!!

This Biddy's out
